The Mill at Crane Pond
Restoring the Past, Building the Future
Built in 1868, The Mill at Crane Pond was originally created by the Crane Brothers Paper Co. of Dalton MA and the interconnected nine building complex was later acquired by Steven’s paper company.
Rocky Allen and his daughters purchased the property in 1989, and over the last 30 years the property has been restored and expanded the building to accommodate the needs of today's businesses.
With over 92,000 square feet of space, The Mill at Crane Pond hosts a diverse community of social service agencies, 50+ businesses, co-sharing offices, a co-working space and an event space. Each business enjoys modern amenities and state-of-the-art infrastructure, as well as a unique sense of history and character that is woven into the fabric of the building.
Despite its transformation into a modern workspace, The Mill at Crane Pond has retained many of its original features, such as the exposed brick walls and other architectural elements that harken back to its industrial past.
